【王烱華／台北報導】菲律賓遭受海燕颱風侵襲，災情慘重，馬英九總統今表示不排除以軍艦協助運送物資到菲律賓，國防部發言人羅紹和下午表示，國防部依據政府政策與國安會的指導，已指示海軍司令部針對我國援助物資以海運方式運送到菲律賓的相關作業，進行評估和規劃，後續和相關部會密切協調、聯繫，候令執行運補任務，以彰顯國軍「人飢己飢、人溺己溺」精神。

海軍將領證實，目前海軍的「旭海號」或「中和級」戰車登陸艦都已經在左營軍港內完成整備，只要政府決定即可進行救援物資的裝載，並配合南巡艦隊共同前往，預計航程需要一天半的時間，即可到達菲律賓。海軍官員也表示，根據裝載的經驗來看，如果政府將救援物資今晚送到高雄左營軍港，最快也要明天晚上才能起航。
