（法新社奈及利亞荷斯28日電）奈及利亞軍方今天說，持槍分子在族群分裂的中部地區突擊3座村莊，造成至少48人喪生。事件起因似乎是為報復牛群遭竊。

中部地區特遣部隊發言人穆斯塔法（SalisuMustapha）對記者說：「3座村莊遭到攻擊，共有48人喪生。」他說，死者包括28名村民以及遭軍隊反擊擊斃的20名攻擊分子。

奈及利亞媒體引述當地官員說，100多座房舍遭焚毀，但這個消息現尚無法證實。

村民說，在昨天遇襲之前，曾發生牛群失竊事件。

發動突擊的1方，可能是以回教信仰為主的福蘭尼（Fulani）族牧民；至於遇襲村落的居民，是以信奉基督教為主的塔羅克族（Tarok）。
